Is the Athlon 3200 signifigantly better than the Sempron 3300? Would I notice a large diffrence between the two with gaming, multitasking, editing music and videos all that kind of stuff? The Sempron is $40 cheaper which means a lot to me since I don't always have much cash.

The Athlon 64 3200+ is significantly better then a Sempron 3300+, its like comparing a Celeron D 2.8Ghz to a Pentium 4 2.8Ghz.

I would save up enough money and get the A64 3200+.

sorry to burst your bubble, but the pentium 4 chip would normally feature hyperthreading, so performance ultimately isnt comparable!

the A64 3200+ is better though... both chips very o/cable!

I would actually not say that there would be so much difference. My friend has the 3300+ and overclocked it to 2.7Ghz. As a result, he has a very powerful PC. At stock speeds, the difference is not as large as many people think. They both offer 64bit capabilities and only differ in the cache size which does not mean all that much with AMDs.
