I don't get it, isn't the Dual core suppose to be way better than the normal athlon 64 because its dual?

What woul dyou pick?

I just don't dam get it, duals are suppose to be better right?
the price on the Athlon 64 Bit System 939 Pin cost $935.00 US and the price on the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core cost $924

Why is the dual core cheaper?

Neither really:
- The raptor drive is overrated ... you can get damn near the same performance for significantly less and get a crapload more space thanks to 16MB cache on drvies now
- LG optical drives: LG hasnt made good optical drives for a looooooong time
- Neither videocard is particularly spectacular and for the price of the X700, the X800GT and X800GTO are in the same bracket and offer superior performance
- The Thermaltake PSU sucks
- With the 400W model pushing 16A on the 12V rail, i dont have a lot of faith in their 500W mdoel

dual core all the way
Why?

i'd go with the 3800+ X2 mostly becuase its got more preformance period.

anyway, yes, preator is right (as usual) on everything else. especially the GPU

also its about the same because u have an sli mobo on the first one (not usefull since u have picked ATI)

Heh it wasnt a literal question per say but just to make a point of random utterances :D

I don't get it, the raptor is 10,000rpms and way more expensive, arent they suppose to be super fast and the normal ones are 72,00rpms, thats like a 25% increase of speed? or am i wrong?

Sure they are fast but you can get 95% of their peak performance with a physically slower drive and twice the cache ... and often you might find yourself outpacing them :)
