Athlon 64 DTR

I have an athlon 64 dtr and i have to say i dont know much about them.
I know they have a lower thermal envelope but are they any good at overclocking and do they have fully unlocked multipliers?

I'm thinking of putting the chip i have into my desktop but i dont know whether it'll be worth it or not. The chip i have is a 3000+.

Any useful information would be greatly appreciated, thanks

i realise that it will be outperformed by the desktop athlon at stock speeds but what i really want to know is whether the chip has upward unlocked multipliers :)

well, im sure its still a very overclockable chip, unlocked upward multi's or not...
i wouldnt bother though, because the 3700+ is a very overclockable chip itself... and even if you get a little extra juice out of the 3000+ it won't matter a whole lot...
try if you like though :) by all means, we aren't holding you back lol

Hi guys thanks for the replies... i dont seem to be getting any mail alerts which is why i didn't check back lol

My 3700 really sucks at overclocking, i've had it up to an unstable 2600MHz but it took a lot of volts. Also, my 3700 has an issue with memory in both slots where the second stick keeps getting killed :S

But anyway, i'll give the 3000 a shot and see what happens, its a CG revision and i've read that they can be good overclockers.
