i was overclocking my a 4600 to get more power for my sli rig and was wondering what is a good voltage? i've got it running at 2.82 GHz on 1.4 volts.
i don't want to get it too high or too low. i'm kinda new to overclocking, so what's the best way to tell? thanks

ps, is there anything else i should check for on my cpu?

Watch your temps, use speedfan, or something like PC Wizard. and run Orthos "prime 95" to check load temps. They shouldn't go above 55*c, if its well under, i'd say 1.5v is the highest i'd go. But keep an eye on the temps.

that is a little warm for idle, is it a stock cooler? For about $20-40 can get you a good cooler and then you can overclock to these speeds for 24/7 use at safe temps

is it seated good, is the fan spinning? seems a little warm for that cooler, but i thnk 2.8 is about the limit on that chip...

i would think 1.3-1.35 would be a nice temp, you will just have to try it and see, play with the settings and run orthos to check stability. :)
