Hi everyone :) Just wondering what kind of OCs anyone running A64s (especially S939 users) are hitting and with what configurations .... myself im currently at 240x11.0 (@ 1.550v) and RAM at 2.7v (LOL and i just got the chip a couple hours ago too :P) wonder if i can hit 270?:P

Yeah but Intel-M is for a completely different platform (isnt it)? (not to mention a different topic)

lol sry. just arguing with people who say "it'll clean out AMD" when clearly it's not that big of a cpu. 1 review sends everyone out to the store...funny.

Heheh...master blaster :)

A64 Venice 3000+ S939 revision E3

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Current stable* OC: 2.7Ghz (300 x 9) @ 1.65Vcore - air cooled (stock HSF)

Previous stable* OC: 2.6Ghz (290 x 9) @ 1.55Vcore - air cooled (stock HSF)

Original CPU clock: 1.8Ghz

RAM : Running at 225Mhz (450Mhz DDR) @ 2.5,3,3,7 - 2.7V

TEMPS: 30 IDLE, 46 MAX LOAD
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* SuperPI 24M calculations and several hours of Prime95

Due to the limitations of the motherboard I cannot really go past 300 which to say the least, sucks.

You must have a good individual chip... 2.6GHz is my max, and that's at about 1.76v. I usually keep the core down to 273, or 2.5Ghz. That's stable for palying games and benchmarks. I almost never let my chip get above 40C.

Are you looking into a nicer board (that will get you past 300) or no?

Hehe

Well I was thinking about it but really, I probably would not be able to go that much higher. Maybe 2.8Ghz MAX and that would not really justify getting a better board.

To THECHEF: Check your TcaseMax Temperature for your chip. Mine is 56 Celsius which means getting past 40 is not an issue.
