Athlon64 over Sempron...

Hey, im wondering how faster would i play oblivion with an Athlon 64 3700+ than a Sempron 3200+ (see sig), the reason is i dont want to spend a lot more money on my PC, so i thought in Athlon 3700+ would be good (rather than X2's or switching to Intel's C2D)...

Semprons are not crap at all....and im not just saying that because i have one.

Yes there nothing compaired to the beefy athlons but there ok for general use,There certianly not crap though.

Just a budget processor.

That would be another word for it lol. No, they arnt really crap, they are just AMDs low line. The bottom of the barrel. I wouldnt recommend anyone to buy one, unless they are really on a tight budget.

In either case, the 64 3700 would be a better choice by far.

they're still a hell of alot better than any Celerons out there. It's a very nice budget processor if you dont need the processing power of an Athlon 64.

almost cheaper? so more expensive then?

some people do have very tight budgets and can only stretch their money so far; the 3700 is waaaaay better than the sempron so its a sizeable upgrade either way
