ATI 1k series vs. under 1k series

What is the major differences between these two series?? Is one geared more towards gaming and the other more towards multimedia purposes?

the X1K series has newer technology, such as SM3 support. But just because it's newer, doesn't mean it's better. Such as an x800 vs an x1300.

So I got a used x 850xt platinum edition on ebay for $100, good enough for WoW gaming then??

the X850XT PE is an excellent card, if you have a good system, it should play it maxed out.

That is a good card it usually performs better or upto a 7600GT and sometimes a 7800GT so it looks like you got a good card.
