ATi 9250 won't work with new comp

I've had an old computer for a while, (p4 terminator), and used ati 9250 for that computer. It worked fine.

I recently bought a new computer:

MSI K9VGM-v motherboard
2GB ram
AMD X2 4200
2.2 Ghz

My new computer usually boots with a "beep" sound. When i took the 9250 from the old computer and installed it on this computer, the computer didn't boot up with the "beep" sound, and i can't see anything on my screen. In fact, i dont even think the computer booted properly. I already tried all the adjustments in BIOS by changing primary Vga from internal to pci, disabling primary vga, adjusting IRQ and even adjusting pci latency timer, but no luck.

Please help

did you put the card in the pci slot?

if you stuck it into the pci-e slot, then it probably wouldn't work.

LOL, obviously if you have jammed a PCI card into a PCI-E it will most likely not work after wards. You don't usually have to push that hard to get a card into its slot. If you do, then there is something wrong. I have seen an AGP get jammed into a PCI slot once, it was hilarious, the card didn't work afterwards of course. :D

..seriously guys, can we be a little more mature?. There were no stupid mistakes made in this installation, so lets disregard all the silly potential erros since its so obvious.

i was hoping to get some help after three posts already, but they were all mislead due to the assumption of putting a pci into a pci e. thats just lame.

After installing the pci card, it would be kind of obvious that i would know how to install it again.

ITS in the pci slot, not pci-e.
it fits perfectly in the pci slot and ive made bios adjustments but the computer will not boot up

just to let you guys know, i've installed it on my old p4 before, and it worked perfectly, and i installed it the same way on this new computer the exact same way i did on the old one. It's obvious that there won't be silly errors such as misplacing the pci into pci-e, missing screws, not changing to correct bios settings, or not plugging the monitor in the pci card.

reinstall it into the old computer and if the card is "functional"...it can be safe to assume we can erase "broken card" from the list. that is where i would start.

Since it has onboard video, does it boot with the onboard? If it does you might need to go into the bios and change it from onboard.

first your mobo has intergrated video and your computer just knows to use that for now. Firstly boot your computer with your motherboard with the moniter conected to the intergrated video. Go to your bios and enable something that would enable video on PCI slots. Lastly, disable your intergrated video so it doesnt interfear
