Hi, i would like to know what card you would suggest is the best, considering performance in games such as COD2, F.E.A.R, CS:S, & HL2: LC.

1. ATI Radeon x850 PRO 256mb ($399 ) CAD
2. ATI Radeon x850 XT 256mb ($599) CAD
3. ATI Radeon x800 XL 256mb ($349) CAD

Ah, see why you wanted to know the diffrenece between them. Well, considering price into the equation, i would say the first one.
 
Well, i do understand which one is better or worse, but..i would like a more technical answer. For example...why 16 pipelines is better than 12 and why 20mhz in core clock speed would make a such a difference....etc.

20mhz woiuldn't really make that much of a diff. 16pipelines is better than 12 because it processese 4 more pixels per clock cycle..or something like that dono exact details.

Also, the x800xl is basically a x850xl with lower clock settings. A x850pro is a x850xt with a quad of pipelines disabled.
