What would you guys take? X1900 models (Top of line ATI) or top of line nVidia (7950GS2 I think or possibly 2x7950GTXs).

Crossfire or SLI

I voted SLi, although I would never build an SLi setup in the first place. Not until the technology is improved, anyway...

I like SLI better, but i would rather have two x1900 then two 7950s.
Whats the reason for that?

I voted SLI since in has a greater performance increase then crossfire does in most games.

Crossfire x1900s won't hold a match to SLI 7950GX2s. That is a bit of an unfair comparison ;)

SLI is a better configuration. if NVidia would make a video converter now, that would put NVidia ahead in my book. not to mention, ATI has mastered and is applying GDDR4 into the x1950 series of graphics cards. 2ghz graphics memory.

this is true, that's like comparing four cards to two. not to mention the 7950GX2 uses two 512mb per card... 1gb of 256bit memory running in dual channel... thats like 1.2ghz memory, at 512bit. ATI mastered GDDR4, but 512bit is something they have yet to produce on a card.

WTF?

I like Crossfire- the only problems is that you have to take them out of crossfire to watch a movie. Once some better cards from ATI come out, they will prob blow the 7950s of the water (gamingwise).

you would get it if you watched Ali-G which you should if you haven't.

Anyway Crossfire is better because it is more flexible. For SLi the cards have to be identicle but for Crossfire they just have to be the same model. Crossfire motherboards are harder to find though. But then again I'm pretty ignorant in both Crossfire and SLi

I'll take SLI any day. I don't like ATI, I went ATI more than nVidia, and my 1 nVidia has been my best card yet.
