ATI Drivers

My GPU doesnt seem to be working right on any drivers I choose, does someone have a link to the 8.6 hotfix drivers? I cant find them on google.
 
I dont know whats going on. I cant even open Crysis without it artifacting like crazy. I just played TF2 with no drivers installed and had the same FPS on low settings as on max. Is my card bad or are these drivers really that bad? Im gonnd replace this for a gtx260 soon. I thought I would like ATI but this is just way too annoying.
 
Yea, well sometimes UPS puts packages through X-Ray machines. At work we've had that happen and have received literally hundreds of DOA harddrives. All because of UPS's dumbness.

If I were you, I'd completely return that card and get an ASUS. Personally I wouldn't own an MSI GPU, but that's just me.. they seem to be more in tune with motherboards than anything.

Yea well I got it because of the heatsink. The shipping/restock fee is another nice chunk of change I have to pay, /cheer. I cant seem to get a break when it comes to getting working parts from newegg. I was wondering If I should just get a gtx 260 instead of another 4850? I rly dont like the ATI drivers. ANyone have any opinions on the two cards? I was thinking about going to the PC store and seeing if they can do anything about my card. Maybe theyll put it in a PC and see if it works. Anyone know if any PC stores do that?
 
Artifacting is caused by the Ram on the card overheating usually.
if you have thermal paste at home, i would try reseating the cooler on the grafic's card. ;)
 
Its not only artifacting, Im getting low frames in every game I try. It might be because of my CPU but Im getting like 30-40 FPS on TF2 maxxed @ 1280x1024. I should be getting well over that. Same goes for UT3, WAR, and Crysis. I havent tried any other game since I really dont want to waste anymore time with the card. The card feels flimsy and the heatsinks isnt screwed in all the way, allowing it to move a little but I could understand that they might not want to dmg the card when their screwing it in. What do you guys think I should do? I am running out of ideas. Anyone agree with Bullzi on refunding the card? I really dont want to since Ill lose $30 from it, I think im just gonna ask for a replacement and hope for the best.
