Hello all

Im buying a new laptop I have been looking on some diffrend kind of graphic cards and im wondering how they will serve.
im picking between these:

NVIDIA GeForce GT 335M
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M
or
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850
ATI Radeon HD 5870

which one will serve me best as a gamer. will they over heat or other bugs I should know?

thanks:)
I'm only intrested in valid information and not posts like "ATI OWNZZ!"(or other way around)

The ATI ones are far more powerful, but that's because the nVidia Cards are mobile cards, predominantly used in laptops. The ATI ones are proper desktop cards. Out of those above, the HD 5870 is the best. For nVidia equivalents, you'd be looking at GTX 460 1GB/GTX470/480

Are you sure they wont over heat on my !"#? :)
I've had a ati before worked wonders but that was in a laptop build up in a frame for gaming with exellent cooling... so im being abit extra questioning :)

aha didnt know they were laptop cards. those nividas ones :) thanks. its just whats inside my price range so.. you know:) thanks for the replies. and the up coming ones!

Probably not. I thought that the HD 5870 you spoke of was the desktop version, but obviously not. Still, they're both [HD 5850/5870] faster than the nVidia cards you posted. (even the mobility ones)

Those are not desktop cards...AMD uses the same naming system for their laptop cards, even though they're different. If I remember correctly, the Mobility 5870 is somewhere between the regular 5750 and 5770 models in terms of power, which is more than enough for a laptop.
