ATI Radeon 5770

I haven't researched this, but I'm pretty sure DX11 cards will run DX10 stuff just the same. So if you look at the other specs, the 5770 is better.

EDIT: I didn't notice the memory interface, so I'm not sure now. We'll need someone else who's more familiar with ATI than I am, sorry.

The 5770 has some good hardware updates, and if you're a gamer, DX11 is absolutely worth it. Chances are you'll play quite a few games with DX11 over the course of its lifetime. The 48xx cards do have more raw power, but the 5770 has the capability to make the games look better overall.

if you want performance go for the hd 4890. it is about the same price but beats the hd 5770 due to the 5770's memory interface (as mentioned above). i think the hd 5770 is supposed to run about the same as the 4870 but don't quote me on that. i personally really like dx11. i think it looks great and you don't sacrifice very much performance to run it (in some cases really lower0end cards have beat out the gtx 295, i don't have the link to the review but if i find it i will post it). as games come out, there will (hopefully) be more and more dx11 games, so i think it would be better to go for a dx11 card. that's just me though...

I agree. If you only care about performance and not looks, why waste your money on a 4870? You could get away with playing most games fine on lowest settings spending a fourth of that.

the 5770, combined with 4gb of ram and a decent cpu, can max crysis out at 1280x1024, with 4xAA. 'nuff said ;)

Why does everyone keep recommending this card? The average computer user(Such as myself) will not notice the difference between DX10 and DX11. I'm not sure, but isn't something like this 4870 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150436
better (In the sense that it will get better frames in DX10 applications) than this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150447&cm_re=5770-_-14-150-447-_-Product 5770?

This is why 5770 is reccomended

you keep posting that site over and over it's not the site that's going to help something that shows how well it does in games aka benchmarks

These seem like an interesting feature of the 5XXX cards.
