could someon help me find a monitor compatable with this vid card? http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-102-331&depa=1 I'v been looking for days now to get a monitor that is compatable with this vid card and havent found anything  . If anyone here can help me I would be very greatful. I have just about got all the money I need and am about ready to order my components but I want to do it all at once that way I can just pay one lump sum of money and not have to pay once and then pay agen. I had found a fiew monitors that have the same resolution requirements but couldnt find anything on the compatability of ports and on top of that the monitors were $600.00 plus. So if any one find one monitor or multiple monitors could you post them pleas? I'm really getting frusterated trying to find a compatable monitor. Thanks for any help that anyone of you will give me.

Do you have any specific requirements of the monitor? Most monitors should work fine.

Do you meen what Kind of things do I want to do with it? If so I play games a lot. I need a monitor thats not going to crap out, I have a habit of playing multiple games all day when I dont have to work. So I would need something that could handle being on for 15 hours plus a day and not burn out in a month or two. Is this what you wanted to know? If not let me know. BTW: I'me going to be getting off for a bit to let my mom check her e-mail and I dont know when I'll be getting back on. I work a 11 P.M. to 7A.M to morrow and it is my bros day on so If I dont reply to any post dont think I dont care about the bord or just was using you to get something and found it and left.

My Viewsonic is on 24x7 for the last 6 years minus moving around. Still clear as a whistle, same goes for my new Viewsonics and Samsung. If you're concerned about burning out, get a fan or two...or you can go nutz and put fans inside the monitor :P

Sorry for having to put this in a second post.
Dont stress it

In general: ANY monitor will be "compatible" with the 9600 -- in fact it will be compatible with virtually any video card provided it has the right plugs etc -- which it does.

So would the one I posted be good to get? I have never herd of that brand or would you recomend a monitor? Could you post a link for a site that you would recomend to buy a monitor. For now I'm going to go serch on ebay for a 15" or 17" black monitor and I'll post my results.

The only thing i buy online is fans and lights so i cant help there and as for the monitor you looked at.......... NOOOOOOOOOO! OEM monitors are baaaaaaaaaad (couple exceptions but they are few and far between).

The monitor would "work" ... i wouldnt pay more than hmmmm $200... $300 tops (and thats CAD so.... $150-$225 USD)... acutally wait i wouldnt buy that monitor and i certainly would reccmend it.

The d.p. is 0.27mm -- FAR too high. My ViewSonic 17PSs have a d.p. of 0.25 and that was some 6+ years ago (d.p. is a measure of how sharp the monitor is ... the smaller the better, avoid anything over 0.25)

The resolution is corny as hell ... 1280x1024 max res? No. The E70 is a budget oriented monitor ... now if you have alimited budget thats one thing if not ... get something better, I'm just lookin around (im no ebay guru) but heres some stuff to consider:
- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=70817&item=5109278093&rd=1 .. purchase price is more than id pay but a solid monitor
- I think http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=70817&item=5108879277&rd=1 is the same monitor cant be sure
- http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=70817&item=5108079121&rd=1

Screw that ... stupid JS and shit... too much crap attempting to load...
- http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=24-116-232&depa=0 much better deal and bigger too
- http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=24-116-282&depa=0 lower price solid display

Have a look around: http://www.newegg.com/app/searchPro...viewsonic&Range=1&InnerCata=19&InnerManu=1226

CRT monitors arent long life, but for clear and sharp picture, they are recommended. normal CRT life = 10,000-15,000 Hours, after they start getting blurr (photos bombarded on cathode ray tube). Gaming Monitor Recommended is Mitsubishi Diamond Pro

LCD/TFT monitors: longer life, and higher investment as well (Life = 40,000- 50,000 Hours), and they doesnt no even get blurred with time, as the principle is different (Pixels glow) rather than photons bombarded.

Thats a nice solid monitor. Wouldnt trade my ViewSonics for it though (then again i got a hell of a deal on mine)

:)

Hitachi makes a good monitor for a reasonable price. I've a Hitachi 19" flat screen CRT that's on pretty much 24/7 for three years now and it still looks great.
