ati radeon 9800 pro problems

hey, i have an radeon 9800 pro, and i'm woundering if any one has any problems with broken pixels in games (mostly doom3, tomb raider, and hitman: blood money). I'm getting eather red or white pixels randomly in the games, and sometimes, its so bad that I cant even play the games at all, but when i play bf2 or cs:s there isn't any problems. Can this be caused by an overheating problem or what? any help would be highly appreciated thanks.
 
You can try getting the latest drivers and see if that helps. Overheating may be causing problems too. You could buy a PCI video card cooler or a brand new HSF for the video card to keep temps down.
 
sounds like it is over heating. That is whats called artifacting.

Could you tell us the temps of your card? Download speedfan or your program of choice and tell us the temp.

I don't think 9800PROs have a temperature monitor on them. Speed Fan doesn't tell me the the temp of mine and neither does ATI Tool.
