ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series?

hey all,
I was wondering what you guys think of the ATI Radeon HD 4800 series graphics card?

well ive got 2 ati 4850's in crossfire and i like them, good cards!

downside is there very hot and get noisey when the fans are turned up, going to watercool mine soon

Dont personaly own a 4800,But from what ive read and heard theyre realy good cards.

Dunno if Funkys had the problem,But there was something about microstutering with these cards? maybe drivers? not sure if its been fixed or not now though

no problems with any micro stuttering!

even when i just used standard drivers out of the box... there has been about 4 or 5 driver updates for these cards so far and ive never had issues with any

awesome card. i just finished playing lost planet on mine and WOW!
it replaced two 3870s in CF which showed some micro-stuttering.
haven't got another 4870 to CF, yet!

*4890, it's nice to see the new card overclocks very well! The 4870 series is generally a horrible overclocker, where people can't get more then 50-75MHz on the core.

4800 is a great card

i currently run the 4800 saphire edition myself now. great for gaming and always stays cool.

Maybe the best bang for the buck right now at $179 for the 512mb. I'm ordering a second one to crossfire. $360 total investment for 4870 X 2 performance is hard to beat.

Ummmmmm...... im a bit of a new guy to this stuff but how do you adjust the fan speed of the fan on the card?

Going on what [-0MEGA-] said, if your looking to overclock dont get a 4870, get a GTX 260 instead cos they pwn when it comes to overclocking. But if you were thinking 4870X2 I dont know if one of the Nvidia equivalents would be better, someone else would have to help there.

There is no 4800 card, there's the 4850, 4870, 4870 X2, and 4890.
