ATI vs. NVIDIA

What are the significant differences between these two chip sets?

Different name, different architecture, different brand colors.

ATI is a more cost effecient, set of gpu's, and nvidia is a little bit more expensive, although i like nvidias software add-ons.

I have had both companies, 2 from each, and they have worked great.

two different spins on the same coin really...but each actually has pricepoints in all areas right now....and honestly i think nvidia is cheaper right now due to ati being a bit quicker with the 5 series? tho im not sure if that has changed.

I due own an ATI. I was just wondering if there were any significant differences other than the appearance.
