ATI x1600 or NVidia 7600?

Which of these two cards is better? One of them is in a computer that I am about to buy from a friend, the other one is already in my gaming computer. My plan is to use the better one in my gaming machine, since my dads work computer is mostly for photo and video, and won't need a top of the line card. Thanks.

My computer has the ATI x1600, the computer we are buying has the NVidia 7600.

Just stay with the x1600, they're very similar in performance, unless you buy anything higher than the 7600 GT or higher you won't notice the difference

The 7600 is alot better. When I had the x1600PRO, i actually sold it to buy a 7600GS, which performed A LOT better.

Well, when we get the computer I guess I'll put the 7600 in and see how it is. Couldn't hurt to try.

Get a 7600GT if possible as the clock speeds for a start are much better

The X1600 series cards are really horrible, don't touch it with a ten foot pole.

when i read the title... i was gonna say 7600 but seeing that a x1600pro vs 7600(GS).... i dont kno what to say now. they both soso.

heard rapid rumors that low mid ned card from ati cant beat low mid end card from nvidia.

if u could go up to 150.00 for the x1600pro i suggest you to get x850xt/pe instead.

The 7600GS is definitely better, not just in terms of performance, in power consumption and heat generated as well.
