is the ATi X1600 (PCI-E) with 128 MB GDDR3 better than my card (look in sig)?

Thats one aspect that you want to watch, but there are alot more things that matter in terms of video card performance. A few of the major things that determine performance are the clock speeds, pipelines, memory interface, memory size, pixel/texture fill rate, vertex/shader operations.
