is the ATi X1600 (PCI-E) with 128 MB GDDR3 better than my card (look in sig)?

No in my opinion the X1600 is far better than your 6600 DDR.
X1600 has faster core clock, faster memory clock, more pipelines and its GDDR3

Oh and all i can find with 128MB is the X1600Pro so thats its specs, is that the one you meant?

Its in the iMac Intel Core Duo I'm getting so I'm perfect...

well maybe... ask them what chipset because the x1600xt is much better than the x1600pro in my opinion. the memory bandwidth is almost doubled depending the the specs of the card they're selling.

Notice how 39 of those X1600PRO's are GDDR2, and 2 of them are GDDR3.

I have an X1600XT and I use it for video editing and gaming and it works flawlessly in both aspects, it has all the features I'd want like vivo and wasn't heavy on the pocket.

Thats one aspect that you want to watch, but there are alot more things that matter in terms of video card performance. A few of the major things that determine performance are the clock speeds, pipelines, memory interface, memory size, pixel/texture fill rate, vertex/shader operations. There are also alot more things to watch for, but those are some of the major things.
