attaching computer to router

I have an extra computer in a far corner of my house and I would like to connect it to the router in my office.

It will take an Ethernet cord about 65 ft. long.

Is there a practicle limit to the length of the ethernet cord in a situation like this? And if so, what is the limit?

i don't know what the limit is but i have em running further than that.
you can always get a wireless card for the computer then run without the wire. of course a direct connection will be faster.
