What speed broadband do you have?

not sure but i have never had a download that fast. and later on after i posted that it got up to like 800kB/s but just for a few seconds.

As you type your search in, it drops an auto complete box showing how many results you get for different entries

cant you set it up to do this without the extension? or is that just with ie?

Well in that case, ive had downloads at 1.2MB/s. Its not actually that speed, it just says it is.

it is in the few seconds in which it says that right? but not the entire time, so i guess you are talking about constant speed?

No, if you download a program like DU meter, while FF says its going reallly fast, DU Meter will show you speed its actually downloading at.

so basically they sugarcoat the speed to make u think it's going faster but it actually isn't?
Something like that. Its annoying. Also if you look at where its says how much you downloaded, it wont go up as if it were downloading at the high speeds.......if you know what i mean.

Hopefully Mozilla is better with security than IE is though. With IE, as new threats come up...they seem to lag behind on the updates/patches. When they finally release a patch for it, it's already old news. So far Mozilla has been better I think, as I haven't had a single problem with security through any Mozilla products.

And with Mozilla, you can pretty much customize how much security you want. Everything (well most of everything) with Firefox is user customizable. You can have it to where only text displays on websites, or you can have no security at all...so there is no excuse if you blame Firefox for letting in malware, especially if it came in the way of a pop-up, or advertisement.

definitely... with all the enhancements, extensions, and browser options... i think it leaves IE in the dust.

i also tried a couple other browsers such as Advanced Browser and Avant Browser and they seemed kind of sufficient but i still like FF better

I'm sorry strangehold but that is too much information to read and comprehend at the same time. I'm guessin that you've thoroughly read the article a number of times so if you wouldn't mind... giving my a brief synopsis of what it's all about?

Well really what I meant was your browser is as secure as the person sittin at the keyboard, The flaw in IE is that its part of windows explorer, everthing has a straight path to the core, but the more and more Firefox is used there will be holes found in it just like IE, think they have allready had a few patches! Dont get me wrong I hate IE, I use Firefox too but sometimes use Opera too, A cool browser- just as secure a firefox--Keep a open mind use more than one!!

I use IE, firefox, and Opera as well. The only reason i still use Firefox more is becuase Opera is very slow when loading images and webpages. Everyone always assures me the problem is mine, and that Opera HAS to be faster than firefox...but i simply can't replicate this.

Every software (at least every respectable software) will have updates, patches, fixes as time goes by. I have yet to see any security software/browser/OS that can still be effective as time goes on without updates of some kind.

There full of it, Opera loads a little slower on mine too, It has on every computer Ive loaded it on, but on mine its like a half of a second slower, I lean toward firefox but I've used it alot longer
