audigy 2 zs power splitter

Theres an auction on ebay for an Audigy 2ZS Platinum for $40, but it says that it doesnt include a "power splitter". Does anyone know if you even need a power splitter for it to run, and what does the splitter even do?

must be something for the 5.25 bay insert, the audigy 2 ZS itself doesn't need any more power than what it gets through the pci

The Audigy card itself is powered by the pci bus. The additional power cord runs from the supply to the card as an extra feed for the 5 1/4" bay panel with the infrared receiver.
