Audio Conversion

Sorry but I'm not sure exactly where I would put this thread. But I have a shit load of Windows Media Audio files and I want to translate/convert them to MP3, and I have some audio converter that came with my Windows Media Center 2005 Laptop but it keeps saying something about some Digital Rights Protection. Ok, I know what this protection is but quite frankly how the hell is someone going to expect me to turn all 400 into text files and fix it via code. Please some kind damn soul, show me the way to a free program, or one that I can <s>illegally crack</s> buy to fix this stupid <Place Bad Word Here> <place another one here too> error thing.
Thank you.

there are some programs out there that will remove the DRM, but doing that for certain reasons is illegal, and talking about that is against the forum reglas.

I suggest going open source look for encoders that support FLAC and OGG. Just google those formats and read about them you will see a HUGE open source community that is totally against DRM and does not support it. They even publish their open source apps for the windows client most of the time.
