Audio Interference?

Hi, I'm having a problem with the front panel headphone jack. It gives me this awful background static-ish noise, which I think is from interference from somewhere. There is no static when i plug into the back panel. Does anybody have any ideas as to what is causing this?

Edit: I've also noticed that the sound specifically changes depending on what menu I am in while in game of Minecraft

Have the same problem with my case, just crummy grounding. Use the back panel jacks with an extension cable. That is all i can suggest.
