Audio problems from CMOS battery?

Hi,

I've been having audio problems across different OS and releases. Audio works on the onboard diagnostics tool/started from bios. I've had even an highly unusual problem with my graphics card on Windows where the screen turned dim while I was working and made it unusable/hurting to the eyes. I've only one had my time and another HDD/SSD configuration reset.

Could the problem be from a failing CMOS battery ? It is my understanding that I should have had a lot more resets meaning the battery would be almost dead before it started interfering with drivers.

Thanks!

It seems that my CMOS battery is low but not enough to give frequent resets on the time/bios configuration , but enough to interfere with my drivers. If anyone is having problems with audio or drivers in general behaving weirdly on +10 years old laptops the CMOS battery might be your problem.

I had previously tried to hard reset by holding the power button without any external power source/battery for 1 minute but that didn't work . It only worked when I pressed for 2 minutes.
