audio splitting program

I am looking for a program that will split an audio file into multiple files based on sections of silence in the audio file. For example, recording audio from a cassette tape which would have a few seconds of silence in between songs. Please don't suggest Slice Audio File Splitter by NCH, as I've already tried it and it's not working for me. I don't care whether this is freeware or a commercial program.

I have used a MP3 splitter before, works good, you can pick a point by time to split at or join or remove. Timeline basis. I may have even used a trial version of this one:

They are all usually the same, you shouldn't have trouble finding something like this, of course you will need to convert the cassettes to a media format such as mp3 first.
