AUTO POWER ON/OFF - External Storage Box

I want to remove all hard drives from my computer and have them in an external case, including the boot drive.

I'm either going to use an old case I have laying around, or get something like this - http://www.cooldrives.com/saiipomu55hd1.html

I need to know, how can I have the storage box AUTO POWER ON/OFF with the main system? Anyone know?

Are you going to run cables from the main box mobo to the extra box? Or connect it some other way?

I'm going to run the data cables. Either a multilane SATA cable using these:

Or internal --> E-sata connectors on both sides... probably multilane though.

I will run power to the box however I can, It will only be 2 feet away from the main box.
This is where I'm not sure what needs to be done.

Technically you could buy a small psu for the hard drive box and just run the sata cables from your mobo over to it. That would be your best option really.

thats what I'm planning on doing.
But the problem is
How can I have the storage box AUTOMATICALLY turn on and off when the main system turns on and off?

Remembering that the Bootup drive will also be in the external box. this needs to turn on at the same time the main system is turned on.
