Autologin to networked computers on startup?

This seems like it should be a simple one but its driving me up the wall! I have Zune on my laptop and it is networked to my main computer where all my music is at. I recently added a password to my main computer account and now zune on my laptop will not connect to the main computer unless I go into network and manually type in the username and password for the main computer. Is there a way to make sure I am automatically logged in when I get on my laptop?

I had the same problem with accessing a shared folder. I need to type in a user's username and password to access the shared folder. I read that you need to disable the Guest account but this didn't solve my problem.

How does the zune connect? Does it need a drive mapped to connect to it? Create a static drive mapping on your laptop.

The zune connects to the actual folder on the networked computer. So I had to manually set it to VISTA-desk>My Music>Zune to access the files. How do I create a static mapping on the lappy?

Right click in an explorer menu in the network browser and select map drive. Then put in your username and password and the network path or IP of the share.

Cool! I have it mapped, Do you think I need to point zune to the mapped drive or will it be ok going through the network now?

I don't know how the zune works, but if it is looking for the music library on that computer then it most likely needs to be mapped to connect to it. If you gotta mess with the zune software I am not too sure of that

I am sure if you play around with it you can get it work once the drive is mapped
