some times.. usually when my pc is booting and approx 30 seconds after all of the items on my desktop are loaded my system will shut off... i think it may be in bios taht there is the option to restart if the system finds an error when booting (any other oppionions will be taken:D) any way
if i disabled this option would it or could it cause my system to have many more errors

* this doesnt all ways happen when my system just boots... some times when i am browsing and on msn and all that it hapens too

I am having a similiar problem. My computer will be fine and then just shutdown and restart with no errors reported and for no apparent reason. Sometimes it will do it right after windows begins to start and sometimes it'll be fine for a few hrs and then do the same thing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

-not thread jacking copperkid, just seems like we have the same problem.

My cpu temp is about 150F.

PSU=power supply right? Ive considered a bad power supply and have had them in the past. And from my experience, a bad power supply would cause it shutdown and I would have to restart it manually.

Thanks for the help.

I think that the CPU temp is towards the high end. It would be 65C.

and yes PSU is power supply unit and if it is going bad sometimes it will work for a while and then shutdown, and have the time it stays running decrease.

no worries about thread jacking Jos its weird my temps are fine and i dont think its my psu it is like 2 years at most old i think closer to 1 any other reasons?
