Autosave Issue

Hi Everyone

Can someone out there help me please, I have just installed MS Office LTSC Pro Plus 2021 on my computer and went to set Autosave in MS Word and get the following message:

Before AutoSave can save your file, you need to fix the following.
This file needs to be saved in the cloud first.

I have never use cloud preferring to save my files onto my computer and periodically back them up to my own external hard drive.
Is there any way to turn on Autosave with having to save files to cloud first?

AutoSave and AutoRecover are two different things. If you want to use Autosave you need to save the document in a OneDrive location.

Thank you for your reply, I believe OneDrive is the same as cloud so I guess I will have to lose the AutoSave as I don't want to save my documents externally.
