Avast 5 Antivirus - Best Free Antivirus?

I swear by Avast. Beats all free anti-virus programs and many programs you need to pay for.

Quick, easy to use and updates often.
 
Avast has recently been updated from the excellent version 4.8 to the extremely buggy version 5.x. You should see page after page of complaints on the Avast forums!
After four years of Avast, I switched to Avira and am glad I did. I have no desire to use Avast again.
