Average Build Cost

I am looking for the average persons computer cost, mostly just for the ppl who ask for advice here. I am making some prebuilt PC's since the processor options just opened up a bit. Could you guys "Rock the vote"?

Cheapest I ever built was about $600, that was good enough to play eq2 on medium low settings. that was 6700amd about 667 ram....after employee discount

I thought you were asking what we spend on ours, to figure out an average price.

I would say that most people would spend around $400-$800 (non-gamers), and probably $800-$1500 for gamers or high-end users.

For my Ordered PC With Quad Q6600,Ultra/1000GB/Ultimate/4096mb ram/ 20inch 1680X1050 it was 2,656 Euros including deleivry VAT + Shipping. So it's worth around 3,500 USD.

I'd say choice B was the right answer, not all "average" users want an amazing rig.
