Average Video Cards?

I have a sort of unusual question.

Right now I have a Dell Inspiron 620 with integrated graphics.

I would like to get a new graphics card, and then will also need to update my power supply. My budget between the two is around $200. This may seem low, but the thing is, I don't really want a high-end gaming computer. I'm not really looking to play games like Crysis or Battlefield- I'm really more of a console gamer for things like that.

What I am looking for is something so I can play...

Fallout
Elder Scrolls
GTA IV
CoD World at War
A large assortment of indie games

I don't need to play these games at full settings or anything like that. I'm okay with medium or even low settings.I know a lot of PC gamers are big on having these beast set ups, but I'm really not that kind of guy. The looks/quality just really don't matter to me, I just want to play these games and I'm happy.

So, I'm looking for a graphics card capable of doing what I have described above. Would something like this be able to handle my needs?

Could I get something able to do what I want for even cheaper? Or am I going to need to shell out a bit more money?

You could look into a 5770 or 6770 (which is a far more powerful card) or even a GTX 560Ti which you can get for around $100 these days.

Check out eBay and Craiglist. You might find somebody selling a used card for cheap.

The problem is, I don't know what I'm looking for. I don't know anything about brands, or what the different specs of these products mean.

That's why I linked to that one video card, I want to know if that particular one will be able to handle what I'm looking for.

Sorry to be a party pooper, but if you put any of those cards in your PC I would highly recommend you upgrading your PSU.

Mini Tower Micro ATX form factor 620 has the standard ATX12V 300 Watt Power Supply.

This is not designed, nor safe to run even a 5770.

Therefore i would recommend this:

GTX650ti$140 - will play any of those games
Corsair 430W PSU $35 - loads of clean power for your card

Or

For $215 you get the HD7850 and the Corsair PSU>

That would own most games at HD.

You def need a new PSU and for that money, the 7850 is about the best.

.... If you'd read the OP a little more thoroughly you'd notice he said he needed a PSU.

7770 is a best, and 7750 is only a little below a 6770, but needs no power cord (still would need a new power supply)

Get a evga 650 Ti and a Antec Earthwatts 380W. Both great peices of equpment, however you can get a saphire 7850 for $165 which i would get if you can stretch your budget.

I'd get yourself a CX 430 and an HD 7770 if you want to buy a new card.

If you want to look at used stuff, a 560 Ti would be good, or a 6870 or something like that. I'd probably recommend a CX 500 PSU for either of those though.

Wow, your contribution has been outstanding.

I don't want to start some sort of fight.

Would totally recommend a 5770/6770. They're killer little cards. Had one up until a few months ago.

Something like this? I don't know much about video card brands, but to put it into car terms, I'm looking for a Honda. :)

Id go with the 650Ti but it is also 40 bucks more expensive and not that much faster...sad it isnt a little cheaper, would be a good buy over the 7770

If you can find a cheap 7850 then I'd go for that. 650 TI is a pretty strong card too if you got the money. Otherwise you could go down to like a 7770 or 7750.

Corsair CX430 and a 7770 or 7750 would be in budget and do very well in gaming.
