AVG and A-Squared let me down

Can anyone tell me of a better antivirus and malware software rather than AVG and A-Squared??? ANd don't say Norton. I have had these two and Sygate Firewall for quite some time and have had no problems with viruses or malware. I found WORM_RBOT.XQ in my registry files. I went through the proper steps (thanks to Micro Trends) to get rid of it. How did this get by me?? I always update my software several times a week. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you're going to spend money, buy Nod32, it has one of the best track records and the least amount of resource hogging. I have seen it catch things that AVG misses... :)

Agreed, NOD32 is as good as it gets. You might also wanna take a peek at Antivir ( www.free-av.com ) - little-known but wonderful, and free. Also worth considering, whichever antivirus solution you choose: is it doing as good a job as it could be? Have a trawl through the settings, make sure things like 'check inside archives', 'check all files', 'heuristics' etc are on.

NOD32 Is a very good anti-virus and was using it recently...I now use mcafee anti-virus enterprise edition which is an excellent choise of anti-virus and would recommend it to anyone... :)
