AVG Free 9.0???

This pop-up keeps coming up and it says there's a deadline to download 9.0 ... on the site, it seems like there's 9.0 paid versions, but no free version. So after Dec. 1 (deadline) these pop-ups will go away, right? And, also, is there a 9.0 free?

I just changed my fiancees AVG to 9.0 today, so I get ya.

Seems like they are really trying to push their "for sale" version. It took me going through three "wow buy this!!!" screens before I got to the free version download. I dont really mind though, their software is great. Its worth all the trouble.
 
It's really bogus that they hound you and spam you to get you to buy their junk.

If it's free, let it be free. Don't hassle meh...
 
Soon as i got the popup i closed it and went to download.com and it was there one click to download the free version :-) learned a long time ago with avg rather then fight them and all their screens just go to download.com first since thats wehre they host the files anyway..
 
Yeah I have 9.0 free. I think they are just forcing everyone to upgrade. They did the same with 7.0 once 8.0 came out.
 
Easy way to find the free version is to put "Free AVG" into the Google search bar. The free version pops right up and you download. No searching thru their site as that can be rather painful.
