AVG free edition 9.0

Will AVG free edition 9.0 work on the Sony PCG-R505ESP notebook perfectly fine? I was wondering if there are people in here that has a similar system specs like my notebook and would like to know if it works fine with it.

256mb SDRAM PC133
40 gig Hard Drive
Windows XP Home SP2
Intel 82830M AGP 32mb SDRAM video card
Yamaha AC-XG Sound Card

Microsoft Security Essentials is another good free security system for Windows. It is easy to use and protects rather well actually. It is also very easy on system resources.

I hear many people say that Microsoft Security Essentials is good.. is it better than AVG Internet Security 9.0 Pro. version?

I would trust it more than AVG Free edition. I had a bad experience with AVG Free on my daughter's computer. Had to completely reload Windows. The free Norton scan found over 1700 infected files. She goes to those "Glitter Graphics" type websites for her German forum kinda like Myspace for school kids.

AVG Free edition did not even slow that malware down...it busted right through it. I kept it updated and everything, just no match for the crap ware that is out there.

I guess i'll install Microsoft Security Essentials to see how it works cuz i heard a lot of people like it but i never tried it.

Yup....i realy like MSE,Its lightweight...and doesnt bother you much.
