My AVG Internet Security is going to expire in a couple of days, i won't have any money to renew for a few weeks, so what is a good free alternative i can use for a while?

I have adblock, but what is noscript?
I don't pay for the AVG, my parents do and it's their choice to renew.. probably should have mentioned that.

So, you might want to advise your parents, that free Antivirus is just as good (and sometimes better) than bought Antivirus.
In my view, replacing bought AVG IS for free Avira would be much better and obviously cheaper for them ;)

Remember your AVG paid for probably came with a Firewall protection whereas most free does not include Firewall, you may have to rely on Windows Firewall for that protection unless you get a seperate third party one.

When uninstalling AVG Internet Security, it will either ask if you want Windows Firewall back on; or it will just automatically do it for you

Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Some times third party applications, such as a firewall might be better that the one that comes with the AV.

If they are going to buy an a/v tell them to get KIS 2009(Kaspersky Internet Security), best security suite out there. AVG Paid is a waste of money imo.
