Praetor Administrator Staff member Dec 29, 2005 #4 Nero's encoder is crap unfortunately otherwise it would be a hell of a platform and give Ahead a nice all-in-one solution. TMPGEnc's free encoder is far superior and flexible. You can get it here

P pedex New Member Dec 29, 2005 #5 http://www.videohelp.com get dvdstyler or dvdauthourgui and guiffmpeg and have at it, both are free plus videohelp.com has how-to's and lots of free/shareware/demo links to try out....not all encoders are equal or work very well TMPGEnc works fine, just slow for linux use mplayer,mpeg2enc,transcode etc etc and get a script called tovid from sourceforge.net-----it does a very good job and its all automatic
