avi video problem

I have downloaded a video (avi extension), It is divided to 3 parts, not rars, just every part is a separate file ( microsoft site said that these 3 files are files of unknown extension). I used HJ joining program, to make them one file, but divx player still cannot play it,
any one can help me to solve this?
 
Can you rename the three files to have the extension .avi? Sometimes, I'll download mp3 files off some random website. When they finally complete downloading they will just say "File001", "File002", "File003", etc. When I click on them, windows recognizes them as an unknown file. I right click, and rename them to 'songname.mp3' and they work. This may be the case for you?

Did you join the three files properly? Are you familiar with the program you used to join them? If not, try a different program or something like that.
 
well, I tried to change their name as you said, also i changed their extension by "file extension converter", but it still not working....
and by using (avi joiner) it gives the same result!
ok..may be I tried all what can be done..and this video will never work...
