Hey guys,

I have a problem. I downloaded a .avi file and when i play it in windows media player the audio plays but i get the windows media player music visualizer thing instead of the video. Can someone help?

Thanks,

Alex

Windows media player can not play avi files. You need some kind of converter I used videroa for my ipod.

Windows Media Player can play AVI!

Try downloading DIVX codecs and install it for codecs.

Or try VLC Media Player.

I'm just going to say it's not a downloaded illegally movie. What you need to do is download K-lite codec pack, or VLC media player. Just google them and download and install. Will play any movie type you throw at it.

I had before the k-lite codec pack, but it was generating an "explorer.exe" error when opening a folder with avi-s. Get the vlc media player, it won't need any codec or any third party software to play movies.
