Babylon

I've heard bad things about this and found it on my parent's laptop. It uses a lot of work that the computer could use on stuff I actually want it to do... plus the fact that people have reported it as malware, spyware, etc... I've looked in Control Panel --> Programs and it's not in there. I downlaoded Revo Uninstaller and it's still not there. I know it's still on the computer because it reverts some searches to a "Babylon search enhanced by google".

Halp meh get rid of et.

Try running the "Windopes" Registry Editor. Open it, click on the edit menu, then click find, and when it asks you what you want to find, type in "Babylon". If that word is anywhere in the registry, the registry editor will find it. The registry entry found may give you a path to a related file. If so make a note of that, then click find next to see if there are more entries refering to "Babylon". Keep going through that proceedure till you have gone through the whole registry, so as to locate ALL components and related entries.

Once you have done that, if any related files were identified, then do a search for those file names the same way. When you are sure you have identified all related files and registry entries, then delete the lot of them.

EDIT : Important It may refer to some "Windopes" files, which in turn will have legitimate related registry entries; so be careful which files and entries you delete.
