Backing up CoD4 Characters.

Ok i do this on a regular basis, so i dont lose anything.

So one day by bro got the game and took his character from my comp, and his stats reset. I tried with mine and it did the same.

Are characters linked with CD keys? Cause i just created another character (im now lvl 10, and have been asked to join 3 clans already), and ive done good with him. and now when i fix my comp, i dont want to lose my stats. what should i do?

They are indeed locked to the CD key, I've tried it before but in the files there is they key somewhere.

Don't want to hijack, but how do you backup your Profile?

well go to the Activision folde rin program files, players and then find your guy and put him somewhere safe. Just remember to update it every day
