Backing up DVD's

So I've been backing up some of my DVD's, because I want to be able to watch them on my computer without having to bother with disc's and copy them to my Touch, but I can only create ISO's. I want to make them one movie file, like avi, or similar.

With the ISO I dont know how to do anything except copy them to another DVD which is pointless and not what I want to do. So does anyone know of a program that will convert the ISO into a movie file? Or better, one that when I copy the DVD to my hard drive it just converts it straight to avi or something?

Anyway, help would be appreciated.

time and place for iso or image files. you can burn the image with nero and it will extract then burn. Iso buster or iso commander with extract from a directory then burn the files.

I didn't really understand all of that. But if you said what I think you said, I already know how to create the iso then burn it to another DVD. The problem was turning that iso into a movie file I could just keep on my hard drive. But that program Bodaggit23 posted is what I was looking for so I've got it all sorted. Thanks for the input though :)

You can check out THIS too.

It automates Handbrake and helps you get the settings right. I'm personaly not very good with all the video encoding variables.
