I want to backup my vista machine (complete backup) but it fails everytime, due to an I/O error. I just googled the problem and ran chdsk for the second time in as many days, and it came up clean again.
All in all, the built in backup sucks. Are there any completely free backup programs i can use to fully backup and fully restore my system? I'll be backing up around 30-35gb so i bought a 25 pack of DVD-R's today. I have wasted about 5 because of this stupid error. Help me get Vista's inbuilt backup working or link me some free backup software. thanks.
EDIT: Could it be my virtual drive causing a conflict?
EDIT2: Will i even be able to backup my 80gb WD drive and restore it to my new 250gb WD drive when it arrives?
