Backing up passwords

Right so Im about to format my HD and reinstall windows and i want to know if there is a file i can backup from fire fox that contains all of my saved passwords, so that i can just copy it back in after i have reinstalled Firefox instead of having to write all of my passwords down.

could do with a fast answer as i plan on formating tonight ...

what I did was
1. click the "tools" link
2. select "options"
3. select "security"
4. select "saved passwords"
5. select "show passwords"
6. then I just wrote them down...depends on how many passwords you have saved...might be doing a lot of writing

worked perfect for me, I use Vista Home Premium 64bit...might be a little different with other operating systems.
 
yeh thats what i dont want to be doing its alot of writing i was hopeing there was a file that held all the passwords that i could copy
same way you can with the bookmarks
