Backlight, Inverter, or.. ?

Hi,
i took out my backlight cable out of the inverter while everything was on & working right. obviously the light went out. When I reconnected the backlight power cable back into the inverter no light returned. Did I blow out the bulb? the inverter? could i have damaged the main board, cables or something other than the bulb or inverter? I dont want to buy a new LCD, especially if i damaged something other than monitor components..

There's no need to make another post. As I said, you very likely blew the inverter.
