Backup and sharing

How do I back my Desktop iCalendar Lite 1.2?
And how can I share the information with two users on one computer?

Can you recommend a free calendar that can be backed up and shared on both sides of my computer?

I am not familiar with iCalendar Lite, but the easiest way I would think to back it up would be to backup the directory where it keeps the calendar files. This may be right within your documents folder, or it may be within the App Data folder within your user directory.

Another couple free calendar option would be Mozilla Sunbird for a desktop application, or one of my personal favorites Google Calendar. You can even use both programs together so you have offline access to your calendar (through Sunbird) when you are without internet access.

Google Celendar is very easy to share and sync between different applications. I highly recommend you give it a look. Since it is web based, your data is, for the most part, always backed up and available anywhere you can get online.

Thanks, but I want to be able to access ir off line. May I make myself clear? I want a calendar that I can backup and share with my Wife on the same computer without going on line.

That would be Mozilla Sunbird as I mentioned. It is a desktop application just like iCalendar Lite. Or, you could still use iCalendar Lite. In either case, move the existing calendar file to a user neutral space, like the root of your C drive, or create a new one there. Then you set each user's settings to use that location and file for the calendar. You may also need to grant read/write permissions to both users. I am not sure how iCalendar Lite will handle this, but with Sunbird it is possible.

Looked at the suggested calendars and decided to stay with icalendar lite as it is simple to use and does not take up much space on my desktop. I will have to give up on sharing and backing-up idea.

Thanks Everyone
