Bad hard drive or bad sensor?

I put in a 2nd hard drive on my computer. Speed Fan reads the HD at some pretty unreal temperatures...

At times the HD will be at 280-300C and then a minute later be at 0-10C.

Do I have a bad hard drive or is Speed Fan reading it wrong?

Edit: Thinking the hard drives being close to each other was causing the temperatures, I built a new enclosure and moved the hard drive to a different place in the case. Speed Fan is still reading the same temperatures though

SpeedFan is not infallible. It posts what it reads accurately for the most part, and in this case I think you have a bad temp sensor.
