bad uninstal?

i am trying to uninstall Trend Micro PC Cillion. i used YourUninstaller! to do it but Kaspersky keeps saying there is something left on the system. i did a regedit and found it. if i just right click on the reg folder and delet it, is there apossibility that i can mess something else up? or is this ok to do?

also Trend micro nolonger shows up in the windows uninstaller prog. i also tried inserting the original disk and reinstall trend micro, so i could try another uninstall but it only lets me try to uninstall. BUT that is messed up too. so i am stuck atm.

someonepls help?
 
considering your position I would just delete any registry listings that you can find I have done it lots and never had a problem... I actually ran into the exact same problem as you and after deleting the keys and rebooting, I was able to continue my install... :)
 
thanks for the quick responce. i deleted the entry and then went through the computer and manually deleted any thing else i could find. i just did a search and the only thing the computer finds is one file called "Tmdshell.dll".

im still getting the same message from kaspersky saying that trend micro is still there...
im goin to change the folder and file name (because the computer won't let me delet it) and see what that does.
 
open regedit and do a search for trend but make sure mycomputer is highlighted use the delete and F3 key to go thru fast and delete/search next quickly. there should be at least 10 entries in there
 
did a little research for ya... see if you can find a program called PCCTool.exe. on yer comp its a removal tool that comes with trend apparently...
