Gonna have a sweetass 3k PC so I need a sufficient PSU. Any recommends on brand names/wattage?
Crap like 8800GTX Ultra, Q6700, 4gb of RAM, etc...

I would go with the Antec Quattro 850W and the E6700 is no longer sweet....

Oh Q6700, my bad... I was about to say, there is way better stuff.... If you want good, go up to the QX6800 or QX6850...

nahhh..... what u realllyyy want is the enermax galaxy DXX1000 watt 
I just got one (although I must say that I really do need that kind of power) and I dont know what I like more, It's damn good looks or the fact it has 1000Wattsa of power. the guys at guru3D gave it the best hardware award too if u lookin for credentials.

Not really he doesn't need that much power, so please don't go around suggesting things he will barely fully use in the computer life, a 700 or 800 would be more than enough for a loooooooong while even the corsair 620w would last for long enough

I have the Corsair 520hx, and it's great. But if you are going to get a massive system, go with the 620hx. Check out www.buy.com rather than newegg for that PSU though. It was a lot cheaper last time I looked.
